Manufactured parts were installed (or replaced) on fuel equipment. Laboratory tests were conducted on an unpowered test bench. After these tests, the fuel equipment was installed on an experimental, serial engine for further experiments. The results of the experiments were analyzed, shortcomings were identified and ways to solve them were drawn up.

3D models of engine outside-mounted components, such as starter, generator, water pump, have been developed. The geometry of the combustion chamber, the profiles of the inlet and outlet channels are being developed, three-dimensional calculations are also being carried out to improve the mixture formation and combustion of the air-fuel mixture in the combustion chamber. Based on the results of three-dimensional calculations, it became necessary to radically change the geometry of the combustion chamber, for example, the location of the plugs, elements of the valve gear assembly and camshafts, etc. Three-dimensional models of fuel equipment parts due to modification of the cylinder head have been corrected.
